SVKM’s Mithibai College’s International Intercollegiate Cultural festival, Kshitij: An Everlasting Flame definitely continued the New Year celebrations as they wrapped up their Day 1 on a fun note with a lineup of events, talk shows, and musical showcases that did not fail to impress the audience.

The 6th of January 2023 at Kshitij began with Prof. Krutika Desai, the Principal of Mithibai College, having inaugurated the festival and given her blessings and best wishes to the committee. With cultural events like Bollywood Group Dance, Classical Dance, Vlogging, Quilling + Fashion, the festival witnessed a groundbreaking showcase of talent and awarded its winners with exciting gifts and prizes. Celebrated artists like Karishma Chavan, Shahid Mallya, Vaishali Sagar, and MTV Roadies’ sensation Ashish Bhatia were present as the judges for the event. Abhi & Niyu, the power couple who believe in the voice of the youth and often post informative videos on their digital media channels joined Team Kshitij for The Kshitij Show. To say it was fascinating and thoroughly stimulating while conversing with them would be an understatement. The cast of Fukrey, Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, and Mrighdeep Singh spread humor like a pandemic at JVPD Grounds with their friendly banter and wit that got everyone rolling with laughter. The cricket legend, Shardul Thakur joined in for an interactive session with other fellow cricket lovers like him whose love for the sport could not go unnoticed.

The stardom-filled afternoon soon took a musical turn as the captivating performers, Ananya Birla and Kasyap made everyone groove to their music. When everybody thought that the evening could not get any more spectacular, the most anticipated star, the diva of the Bollywood music industry, the sensational Sunidhi Chauhan broke the roof as she took over the reins of
Kshitij. While blockbuster hits like Kamli, Crazy Kiya Re, and Saami Saami got everyone dancing their hearts out, melodies like Lae Dooba, Darkhaast, Kyon, and Bin Tere were a soothing ode to the masses present. It was an unforgettable moment for everyone when she started the verses of Ae Watan, this powerful woman definitely proved that she is truly the most versatile artist in the music arena.

Time flew and Day 1 of Kshitij: An Everlasting Flame ended on a marvelous note, one can only wait to see what wonders they have in store for Mumbai for the coming three days.
