BJP Leaders from Kashmir Join NCP


The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is happy to inform you that several prominent leaders from Jammu & Kashmir joined the party ranks today. The leaders Gulzar Ahmed Nengroo, Ghulam MohIudin Reshi, Gulzar Ahmed Wagay, Tariq Ahmed Malik, Abdul Hamid Gagroo, Mohd . Ashraf Wagay and Aijaz Ahmad Khawaja joined in the august presence of Sh. Sharad Pawar the Founder and National President, NCP in Delhi. The new members were accompanied by Sh. Rakesh Sapru, Incharge, J&K(UT). Sh. Sapru has been working towards expanding the NCP footprint in Jammu and Kashmir union territory with a special focus on youth, women and underprivileged.
Welcoming the new members to NCP Sh. Pawar exhorted them to become the true representatives of people of Jammu & Kashmir by working towards the welfare of each and every member of the society. He promised the newcomers that the NCP leadership will give all possible support in this endeavor.
On the occasion the new members said that they left BJP because it had failed to move in any positive direction despite being in power in the centre and the union territory as well. These leaders also said that they were attracted by the ‘inclusive’ policies of the Nationalist Congress Party and its commitment to the safeguarding regional identity and sanctity along with taking India forward.
